November Developer Newsletter |
Hi folks,
Last month, in the week leading to our Tech Event, we organized the Adyen Hackathon again featuring projects which focused on either the Impact for Adyen or Social Impact. It was amazing to see so many teams joining with passion, enthusiasm and creativity and appreciate how much they managed to achieve in just one week. The winners for both tracks were voted by the Tech Event audience and awarded on stage.
Adyen Tap to Pay was the runner-up at the JFall 2022 Innovation Award. Congratulations to the winner, Omoda for their photo capturing capabilities using Java and AI. |

PgConf EU, the largest PostgreSQL conference in Europe, was a success. We attended the conference with the DBA and Platform Scalability teams and spent the 3 days networking, sharing and learning. It was great to see how the 2 Adyen talks (Managing and optimising write amplifications in a large database, Non-native partinioning for developers) raised lots of interest and questions. |

3 November, JFall |
JFall, the biggest Java conference in the Netherlands, was a blast. The Adyen booth was very busy, thanks to everyone who stopped by, we hope you have all enjoyed our swags. Kudos to the Adyenners running the booth who helped to share the insights of our platform and culture.
Adyen featured 3 different Adyen talks, "Effective Software Testing", "Gitpod Development with an iPad" and "Writing Technical Blogs" as well as our Developer Advocate Julien joining a panel discussing sustainability in Tech companies. |
